Many of those "bloodbaths" involved "state-sanctioned" religions persecuting non-sanctioned religions. That's why we try to keep religion OUT of politics. At least BLATANTLY. Kerry is invited to black churches and Bush is invited to baptist churches. That's allowed. Having a guy stand in the pulpit every Sunday telling you WHO you HAVE to vote for is NOT allowed. If you do that then you have a political AGENDA and you should NOT expect to receive tax excempt status.
