You seem to forget that... 1) AS provided no evidence to support his oft-repeated allegation that Bush took money from "Osama Bin Lauden" [sic]. 2) the "Bin Lauden" [sic] clan is a very large extended family that, like many of the Saudi elite, have investments around the world. IF some family member invested $50k in a Bush-connected company 20+ years ago, that is about as relevant to this election as AS is to the human species. And IF such an investment WAS made, it was made in a company, not paid to George Bush - there is nothing for Bush to return. 3) "Osama Bin Lauden" [sic] is just one member of that family - a "blacksheep" who has never had anything to do with Bush other than attacking the US and being attacked in return during Bush's presidency. 4) Kerry's "30+ years ago" record IS relevant simply because HE made it so. HE made his Vietnam service (all 4 months of it) the centerpiece of his campaign - the primary basis for his claim that he is more qualified to be CiC than George Bush. By doing so, he opened up that whole period of his life to public scrutiny. The American people have every right to fact-check a candidates claimed qualifications for office (not to mention claimed personal heroism) AND to question his judgement and integrity, even 30+ years ago, for joining and leading a group that publicly denigrated EVERY member of the US armed forces in Vietnam, that held a meeting to discuss the possibility of assassinating US Senators, and that met with NVA and VC representatives in Paris to help bring about US defeat in SE Asia.
