I'm not sure who you are speaking of. I've been on several dove hunts and we've eaten them all. Very good I might add.

We've also eaten many snipe which are also good.

Ever been on a snipe hunt? Before you equate it to your college prank snipe hunt be sure you know the bird before you answer.

Very tasty but very little to them.

Eating the game you shot is part of the macho thing. Hunters all know how to cook. And if you have more meat than you can eat, you give it away as largesse.

Nothing tastes better than fresh meat (and fresh fish).

Although rich guys who hunt at fancy lodges usually have cooks.
