CB, technology and diplomacy won the cold war, not proxies. Demonstrating superiority does not require physical destruction. We plain out smarted the Soviets, and drove their economy into the ground. You see, when the whole world knows who is number one, and rallies around number one, things change for the better. When an arrogant and cocky leader blazes a new trail, he better have good evidence that the minions will follow. Bush, unlike Reagan, has not proven himself a worldwide leader.
