Jay,
My winter forecast this year, 10/15, indicates colder than normal temperatures for most of the East:

Preliminary forecast in September was about the same:

Message 20617057

Since then Joe Bastardi, a professional (long range)forecaster I greatly respect, has issued his forecast for public subscribers and it is largely in agreement with my forecast above.

While I look at the standard climate inputs, I also look at natural indicators, almanac type stuff, and they are in strong agreement.

I should note a lot of my stuff indicates a severely cold winter is a good possibility in the areas mentioned in above forecasts.

My only worry is too many forecast pundits now have similar conclusions and my contrarian self does not like a crowd, ggg.

Best,
Roebear
