Ork,

"[EDIT] I have a wine cellar with 150 (and growing) bottles of expensive wine. How am I going to move them with me (and keep them at 55 degrees)?"

Bigger problem. How do you move and store 100 pounds of gold and 500 pounds of silver. And not have anyone relieve you of it?

They have more water out West that we do right here with the Great Lakes?

I'm going to have to purchase this book. At first I was not strongly interested, as I understood that it tried to implicate our government in 9/11. I reject that notion currently on the grounds that our government is far too stupid to pull off a 7/11 robbery without it leaking, let alone something like 9/11.

I could be wrong of course.

Good Trading

TH

"implicate the US gov't in 911"

When one looks at all the "facts" and everything that happened and did not happen that allowed 911 to take place, it is very hard NOT to believe that the gov't was involved. HOWEVER, with as many reporters, both low-profile AND high-profile, and with leaks, and with an election coming up, if there were ANY proof of this, would we not see Kerry, or Dan Rather, or SOMEONE making these allegations? If you believe that the gov't DID participate, you also have to believe that BOTH parties, including Kerry, are also involved, and that people like Dan Rather are also involved OR they all fear for their lives if they speak out. Which is it? No one, except a few, pessimistic, crazy gold investors like us will even give it the time of day if it only shows up on the internet and in a few books by obscure authors.

It's very hard to believe that a whole host of reporters and politicians will attack Bush on just about ANY subject, yet will not touch this 911 thing IF there was ANY good, hard evidence.

I understand this book's (Crossing the Rubicon) point is on the "peak oil" premise, yet how can we take that seriously if he also espouses this 911 conspiracy stuff and NO ONE credible will come forward to back it up? Thoughts anyone?

I remain,

SOROS

Heya Ork.

Glad you enjoyed the first chapter of "Crossing the Rubicon", "Petroleum Man". The whole book is like that. Impeccably researched, and brilliantly synthesized.

If you don't mind, deliver an update when you next feel inspired. Judging from your reaction after reading Chapter 1, I have a feeling you may have the experience of a minor "existential crisis" after reading the whole thing.

Best regards,
Glenn
