Re: why offer detail when you seem not to even recognize
plain as day events ?

Simply stated, you lack credibility when you fail to back your support for Yukos without a shred of evidence presented about the legitimacy of the company.

I have asserted that the ownership of Yukos came out of the criminal mafia manipulations of Russian national assets. This case is accepted not only by Communists and progressives, but is the viewpoint of such imminent pro-business publications such as Forbes Magazine.

I charge you with attempting to defend the indefensible. You are defending a criminal mafia.

Furthermore, you conflate the interests of some of the world's most rapacious corporations, i.e. the U.S. domiciled oil majors, with the interests of the American public at large. To me, this is a serious misrepresentation. I find it grotesque in the extreme that the American taxpayer is being bamboozled into footing the bill for Imperial Expeditionary forces fomenting naked aggression across the planet in contravention of established international law while the beneficiaries of these military adventures seems to be a tiny handful of malevolent corporate chieftains operation our military-industrial-petroleum complex.

The wealth transfer is stunning. Yet the public hardly seems to notice that their pockets are being picked clean by some of the most wicked self-serving propagandists on the planet.

Perhaps it is you who is blind to the realities of American foreign policy? You would not be alone. In fact, you'd be among the majority.

I do very much like the way that one of the great scholars on U.S. foreign policy has summarized this situation:

"The enormous gap between what US leaders do in the world and what Americans think their leaders are doing is one of the great propaganda accomplishments of the dominant political mythology." - Michael Parenti

BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW! Let's save the nation from bankrupting itself for the sake of a tiny handful of elite madmen who have unilaterally declared that they are the "national interest". BUllSHit, they are bamboozlers and conmen of the first order.
