the US is not Israel. Israel is a little country in a hostile neighborhood So you do agree that for self preservation, the US should sacrifice Israel to placate the islamic fundamentalists?

If ignored, maybe in twenty or thirty years Islamism could could develop to the point where they could do us in Karen, you have simply not absorbed the lesson of 9/11. An enemy inspired by fanaticism and no holds barred doesn't need divisions because he can leverage assymetrical warfare. If (G-d forbid) we were to lose 3 cities in a day to dirty bombs, would the US still "exist"? Certainly, but in a radically altered form. Can you really maintain that such a scenario is not a serious possibility?
