ork, it is in the US interest to have a strong foothold in the ME.

I don't care what anyone says, it is wrong to invade a country and sacrifice American lives and dollars (which we certainly don't have) to ensure the constant flow of oil.

Number one, we are running out of the stuff anyway. What does an invasion potentially do? Get us another 10 years? We may as well have a national energy policy first: have higher gas taxes, strongly discourage people from buying large SUV's, build more nuclear plants, etc.
