I guess you are right. Hope Canadian gov. disapproves the deal since they are probably the only one can stop the deal<g>

That is totally, outrageously wrong. The current production cost for one barrel of syncrude is about $16 and the selling price of crude is $54. You might want to follow duscussion on this thread:

And also study the various web sites for the Syncrude project and Canadian Oil Sands Trust.
