And if you think Kerry would have done better, show me his publid statements from before today regarding such explosives. I'll give you a hint. There is no such statement.

Those explosives represent about one one thousandth (1/1,000), one tenth of one percent, or .001 of the material that has already been uncovered. It might have disappeared around the time we invaded -- they're investigating.

Gosh, can anyone here explain why it's being plastered all over the news now, a week before the election?

Hmmm. The democrats wouldn't be playing politics with national security and the war effort, would they?

That is an OLD STORY that the NYTimes dragged out just for the election, as a matter of fact, it was played and replayed almost two years ago.

This also may be dragged out again to cover the UN's stolen US taxpayers dollers that went to france, Germany and Russia to help Iraq with their WMD and to pad Saddams pockets.

Check your facts before you start quoting the NYTimes as if it were written in stone..they lie...remember all the "reporters" they had to get rid of for fabricating stories?

As I understand it no one knows just WHEN they disappeared. They were supposed to be tagged by the UN, but the 101st airborne when they arrived at the facility found no tagged explosives. Again, looking at the BIG PICTURE, remember explosives where EVERYWHERE. Our guys have destroyed 40,000 truck loads of the stuff, you are talking about 38 truckloads.
While its too bad that any has disappeared, we cant be everywhere.
This is nothing more then a NY Times attempt to discredit Bush as they are rabidly anti Bush. To any knowledgeable person, its just the way it is. Not necessarily a bad reflection on anyone, and certainly not on Bush, he doesnt MICROMANAGE his troops or their local commanders. jdn
