Even CNN has now reported that embedded NBC news reporters were at al qaqaa one day after the fall of baghdad and found the HMX already gone. As this plays out in the days ahead, Joe Biden and others who went on TV talking about incompetence are going to look extremely partisan. If NYT and campaign Kerry had planned this to come out later, it probably would have worked. After the election, some on the left will probably blame the HMX debacle as another Carl Rove conspiracy to fool the noble democratic party. Unfortunately, the real problem is if the explosives were moved out before the fall of Baghdad, someone still has them.
