Loantech,

The fact that they've received approval to list on TSX looks like good news to me. I don't know what other people's experiences have been on the Vancouver venture exchange, but I felt that I got burnt a while back when one of my stocks suddenly announced a private placement at absolutely absurdly favourable prices to the investors -- the investors including none other than the co-chairman himself and a company represented by people on the board of directors! They also reissued warrants that were likely to expire worthless at a new price already well under the stock price. Does this sound like conflict of interest to you? Well, I complained to the venture exchange through two email addresses they provided. They never responded to me. In the end, the weasel co-chairman got in on the gift-of-shareholders-money private placement, although the company represented on the board of directors didn't.

In summary, I have to say that I don't have much faith in the venture exchange looking after shareholder interests. I can only assume that the Toronto exchange does a better job, and one has to be extremely careful about management before investing in the Vancouver exchange. It only makes sense to me to do so if the company is too small to afford the regulatory overhead of another exchange and is driven by hard-working geologists rather than by promoters. I can only assume that the company I talked about above exists on the Vancouver exchange in order to be able to act with very loose regulatory restriction since they now have a large market cap, much larger than most mining companies on the Toronto exchange.

Anyone else have any comments on investing in the TSX-Venture exchange?

Tom:

Good news today from ORM and CBR. And it looks as though WTC must also have a PR brewing, judging by its new high.

I just opened a position in Mundoro (MUN,T). I spoke with them at the recent gold show in Toronto, just received their kit and am very impressed. A resource of 5.5 million oz gold, with a market cap valuing it at only about $8/oz in the ground from what I can see. "China's biggest undeveloped gold deposit". They've got a new resource estimate underway, due soon, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a significant increase.

As always, do your own DD. I don't want to be seen as someone pumping a stock, unlike some of those followers of CKG. <vbg>

Best regards,
Howy
