The TSX-Venture has really cleaned up it's act over the past few years. The issues encountered now are few and far between compared to the early 90's when the 'rules' were loose and promoters took full advantage.

I have had no issues with any stock I have traded on this exchange for some time.

7th son,
Tehre are a lot of self promotion companies on the Vancouver exchange. But there are also some good ones. I like the management of the ones I own ABS, CKG, DAE and VYE. Part of ABS's philosophy is to have geologists run the company and not promoters. CKG is the company that emerged after the FGX take over by Glamis. They do not dilute, they do not promote. DAE is ran by John Lando another very quiet no promotional guy. They did a PP recently to cover expenses going forward on a very nice project but still have only around 9 million total shares out. VYE is a company that has done well and is highly respected. Check them out.

I do not own ORm but am looking forward to buying the stock.
Tom
