I meant the culture and its political orientation. Saddam was a product of that culture. In that sense, Iraqi culture created him.....let them take care of him.

This still doesn't absolve outsiders from their moral responsibility to help the oppressed Iraqi masses. The idea that Saddam rose up from some "Iraqi culture" doesn't imply that only Iraqis should be involved in his removal. Pol Pot rose from Cambodian "culture", Robert Mugabe arose from Zimbabwean culture and Noriega rose from Panamanian culture. If outsiders get the opportunity to depose these despots, they should.

The wife beater rose up from his familial culture, the police still ought to arrest the guy, and not rely on the wife and kids to help themselves out without outside support.
