No this is not what I am saying. Terrorism is a method of war by the much weaker force against a much greater force. Every terrorist is someone's hero. This has been true of founders of America, of founders of Israel, and of the Ayatollahs in Iran who in turn have come to complain about terrorist groups themselves.

You are trying to assign moral value to a method of warfare without taking the whole context into account. This makes sense as a feel-good and political ploy, but is incorrect in practical terms. The "war on terror" is a sham as much as declaring war on sneak attack or war on hunger is a sham. It can't be done without addressing the root causes of it and I have seen nothing to believe either Bush or Kerry is willing to address the root causes.
