I feel that that tax cuts stimulated our economy by placing more money in OUR hands. We will have to live with deficit spending until our country is safe and Iraq is free and democratic.

Clueless again. The tax cut stimulus went primarily to the top 10% who are more inclined to save than to spend. It may have had a brief effect but it did not create a sustainable recovery. The # of "jobs" created by the stimulus lags way behind the number needed to keep up with simple population growth and include a significant number of government job that shouldn't even count. This is the slowest "recovery" in history and it's about to peter out. Recession coming in 6-9 mos. As for living with deficit spending, who do you think buys our debt? China and Japan. They've been buying less of it in the last few months and will probably reduce their buying as time goes on. The more debt we issue, the more the dollar is undermined. What do you think should happen to a debtor who just can't stop using the credit card, won't pay his bills and still wants a higher limit? Got an answer? Now think USA.
