Well, Ground Zero, I am a veteran and when I served my Commander in Chief(s) were Johnson and Nixon. I remember my duty to God and Country, my mission, my regiment, my buddies. I was never offended by anyone calling LBJ a Texas Idiot or Nixon Tricky Dick. The marines I visit with now are mission focused. They understand our political system, and, as far as I can tell, just wish the politicians..all of them...would shut up. I may be misreading them, however. Marines don't talk about such things, they just smile at the right times.
