Bush said yesterday that its a good we got saddam or he would have been passing those missing non-wmd weapons to the terrorists. How stupid does rove&co think the american people are? That is the last straw for me. I insisted on bills thread that they fess up 1/2 a year ago. I said people should be held accountable, notably rumsfeld. Later i begged for the removal of cheney and an opening to the middle with a Rudy or McCain partnership. I was mocked and ultimately banned. Now the chickens come home to roost. The October surprise in itself was not really big news--its this admins stonewalling and arrogance that will do it in. The sad thing is that I dont think it had to be this way. Bush is still a hero of sorts to me, but in the end he has been manipulated by cheney and rove and now i must cast a vote against these guys. For them to lose my vote is almost criminal. I am a supply sider. I detest the left. I am a semi neocon. I still defend the validity of going to iraq, even if there were no wmds. But i cant stand lying. I cant stand lack of accountablility. I cant stand an inability to change course. So as hard as it will be for push the kerry button, i will do just that and here in NJ which is suddenly in play, now will fall back to kerry as moderate cons offset reagan dems that i wrote about yesterday.
