Used in the way you describe would be a waste of money. The "Please understand me" approach is BS and its worse when management wont take their own test. But if properly used the test is a great hiring tool and provides some insight into your core. This test is nothing new for me - took it in college and have taken it at least 6 times in my life. But it hasn't been a waste of time or money. I know why I'm willing to get in someones face and tell them what I think. I also know its not always a bad quality. I think the test is kind of cool. I am a ESTJ so you can KISS MY ASS YOU SOB! LOL

I should have been a football coach

I got a INTP years ago. When I took this abbreviated test just now, I got an INFJ. Last night I took it and got a different result that I can't remember, beginning with IN__ .

The INTP type is exceedingly rare, which does not surprise me at all.

You are right about management. They send people to these things while they are making decisions that are so completely bizarre that I wonder why they exempt themselves from psychoanalysis. Once I attended a session which was originally contracted for the leadership team, but they found reasons to avoid it so a bunch of us were rounded up to fulfill the contract.
