i was talking about the flu shot not the bird flu pandemic. I agree that the govt needs to be the capitalist of last resort. Seems to me that drug companies need to be involved in flu vaccine production. Maybe middle class et al should pay for flu shot instead of it being given at such low cost. But in a pinch i will go for govt if private sector cant meet challenge. mike
