Although I would love to see it, the release of Kerry's record is not going to happen. The Swifties' efforts, though laudable, are probably not going to go anywhere.

Here are the reasons:

Kerry's records have been online for a very long time. His Presidential ambitions are about as old as the records. His opponents, including the GOP, have had a lot of time to research them in excruciating detail. The ground has been plowed, re-plowed,and plowed again, with no success. What makes you think that the Swifties are going to pull a rabbit out of the hat now, after some real pros have tried without success for a very long time?

Ain't gonna happen.

The Swifties are great but they have gone over the top on this issue, witness the retraction.

Still, the fact that he won't sign the 180 form indicates that there is probably something there. The only way to get to the truth is if hell should freeze over and Kerry somehow decides to release the records.

Pigs will fly first.
