You are again implying that their Centers for Disease Control is a bioweapons facility. Intellectually naughty Nadine!

Your reading comprehension is suffering today, E. YOU were the one who implied that the CDC labs were a bioweapons facility when you said that random looters could loot stuff from it that would be of use to terrorists. Worse case for ignorant looters is that they will loot something that will make them sick. It takes highly trained personel to recognize things in a CDC lab, and still more specialized training to weaponize any of this stuff into useful form for terrorists.

In short, your argument was and is absurd.

The argument that we should let thousands of tons of explosives fall under terrorist control because it doesn't "matter" is an interesting and original one!

Of course they shouldn't, and there is no solid evidence that they did. But if the whole damn country is awash in explosives, which it was, the news that some fraction of a dump which held 0.6% percent of the total has gone missing is not exactly earth-shattering news, especially if you haven't yet been able to locate the hidden stocks of a large percentage of the whole. The whole story is a red herring.

The corollary implication, that the whole pile was in perfectly safe hands when Saddam and Uday's fedayeen had charge of it, and should have been left in their capable hands, is even more absurd.
