Solar pool heating and solar power are 2 different things. To heat your pool you pump water through some special tubing on your roof that is heating by the sun to warm up your pool. Solar power uses actual solar cells that generate electricity that is then fed to an inverter and gets translated to actual AC current that the reserve is fed back into the grid. Your electricity meter actually runs backwards as you generate excess electricity to mark the reserve power that you have for nighttime. Two very different things. Solar pool heating has lots of moving parts and mainly think of it as water that gets heated by the sun. Solar power has none and it generates actual electricity.
