Re: Your solution to the voting apparatus-----this is state control and socialism----don't want that.

You completely misunderstand what I wrote. I clearly stated that the vote counting process should be in the hands of a non-partisan, non-governmental and non-profit corporate entity. That isn't state socialism. That is sanity.

Look, the government, especially the partisan aspects of it like County Clerks and Secretaries of State clearly have a "dog in the fight". As do corporation which increasingly seek and receive gargantuan welfare payoffs from the compliant and corrupt legislators and government executives that they themselves install with the bribes (aka, campaign donations) that drive the electoral process today.

Face it, the system is broken. The people are not being represented in the present arrangement of things. The corporate chieftains and the trans-national corporations are getting away with murder, literally as in the case of the military-industrial complex's complicity in the war crimes in Iraq.

Frankly, I'm quite disappointed that you had to revert to the old, tired and inaccurate shibboleths about "socialism" to try to make your case. How pathetic. The next thing I know, you'll be spouting the ridiculous John Bircher line that the U.S. Constitution is nothing but a Communist plot to give the people too much of the corporations' money. Pathetic.
