Al, You and bush miss the point. You can deal with your wish of the international community or you can deal with the international community as it currently exists.

And you missed my point. China is being very hypocritical in criticizing the unilateralism of America, because more often than not, China has acted unilaterally to protect its own interests at the expense of the international community.

I agree that we should be much better at dealing with the international community than we are at the moment, if only because we are in a unique position to do just that. But I'm not going to accept China's hypocritical comments as proof that Bush's foreign policy is a failure, because China has nothing BUT self-interest in mind. Is that Bush's fault? Only if you believe that a guy like Kerry can make China play nice using more than just good intentions.
