My point is that there are veterans whose war records far
surpass that of Kerry.

Audie Murphy was a hero.
Sergeant York was a hero.

People like that were not only heroic on the field of battle,
but demonstrated heroism by not touting their deeds at
every turn or using them to political advantage.

There was a WW11 cartoon about an injured soldier
waiting in line for medical attention. The attending
told him that he'd be getting a PH, but the soldier just
asked for a bandage and some iodine so that he could get back to his unit.

That's a hero.

Not someone who gamed the system and ran with 3 PH's,
arising from wounds that did not even require any
serious medical attention, and who couldn't wait to
not only turn his back on his "band of brothers" but who took
the opportunity to slander them before the entire country,
and who even consorted with the enemy during the Paris Peace talks.

Your boy couldn't even decide which persona to use in his public life--war
"hero" or war protestor. He changed hats
(read: flip-flopped) as expedient to serve
his political ambitions. Where's the "heroism" in that?

He's switched his position on Iraq how many times?

He was for it, until Dean gained traction, and
then decided to be the "anti-war" candidate.
Sound familiar? Where's the heroism in that?

He made a grand gesture of throwing his medals (or was it ribbons)?
Then he had his medals. Where's the heroism in that?

Does the man stand for anything at all? Except, of course, his
own blind ambition?

You can tout Kerry until the cows come home, as you have been
doing, non-stop for months.

But that doesn't change the fact that Kerry is no real HERO
in every sense of the word.

His war record stands for itself and I daresay there were
thousands who achieved more, including the undivided
devotion of their own true "bands of brothers."

But where Kerry is lacking---and always has lacked--is in the courage of any convictions.

The only convictions he's truly held involve his belief in
the supremacy of the UN and a one world government.

And even those beliefs, according to you, have been
discarded in this campaign as he has tried to move to the middle.

So, in the last analysis, Kerry didn't even have the testicular fortitude to let the public know who he really is---

and that doesn't even include his unwillingness to sign the form 180, so that the true circumstances of his discharge can be shown.

Kerry is a true slime bag. His Stolen Honor is the best he can do. His failed 20 year record as a Senator should sentence him to the oblivion he deserves.

My prediction, On November 3rd, the Democrat party will ask themselves, "WHAT WERE WE THINKING. KERRY WAS OUR WORST CHOICE."

"Nazi" is short for "nationalsozialistische" or "National Socialist" ...

If the label fits the Democrats...
