Ted, Ten, what are you talking about.........the whole S. Baptist denomination was ready to make him their head pastor/pope/archbishop [whatever] until it dawned on them that it would not look good for the president to take on a religious title. What are you talking about? There are no "God figures" in Protestant churches. The only ones to be worshipped are God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Did I say a "God figure"? I said they wanted to make him head of their church like the Pope is the head of the Catholics. This isn't the Catholic church of old. Or the Anglican church for that matter. Even pastors are merely shepherds, not "rulers by divine right." From where is this all coming? Who was talking about rulers? I said a messenger from God and head of the Baptists. That's it. ted
