That may be true. I'm not sure they have the stomach for another terrorist strike either. Right now we're trying to be proactive to prevent that. While I'd rather not be at war I do believe its taken the fighting to foreign soil rather than ours.

I hope it stays that way

It looks like the provisional ballots in Ohio are in large part people who had moved out of their precinct since they registered.

Kerry will have an advantage there, but not even close enough to turn the election, imo.

The down side is obviously that we have Boy George and the Prince of Darkness ruling us for another four years. The bright side:

(1) There are going to be lots of lawsuits and investigations regarding the voting process; I think those voting machines are history.

(2) Press will not be Bush's lapdog this time around, imo. The hunt will on from day one. We won't be able to impeach him, but we have four years to drag him through the mud.

(3) Bush's second term should be a trainwreck so we'll have a good chance of winning back the White House and Congress.

(4) We have four years to talk about who will be on the democratic ticket in 2008.

We had to endure 8 years of Reagan, too. After that we got 4 years of Bush 41, who wasn't bad, and 8 fun years of Clinton.
