Osama is also imbued with such beliefs and so are swarms of suicide bombers and other Jihadists. It's not just a matter of belief. I don't object to people believing what they like as long as they do it in the privacy of their own home and among consenting adults. It's when they claim that they have the special word and start ramming it down my throat, at the point of a gun. Which they do, Christians and Islamics both. For years, we were forced to stand and recite the Lord's Prayer at High School, en masse, each morning. There are many other impositions by the religious on the rest of us. We really don't want to have a re-run of the crusades, but believers in Armageddon will be all for it. They will be the agents of the Rapture. How cool is that? An old hero playing golf, going to church and leaving others alone is fine. A Crusader heading for Armageddon isn't my kind of fun. Keeping the religious off other people's backs is a constant battle. Once they get the state on their side, it's a heck of a lot more effective than having God on their side. They can use bullets, bombs, knives and gaols to persuade the irreligious. "God on our side" deserves derision and denigration. It's the most arrogant presumption. Most especially when it's because one candidate for president beat another candidate for president. KLP said: <God really has Blessed America today!> That's what I denigrated. I suppose the Democratic God is licking her girly-man wounds, and will have to wait for Round 2 in a few years. Are any Democrats religious and have the same God, in a kind of fifth column, or are Democrats all atheists or backing the wrong God? The RRR God is a real-man, gun-toting, tough kind of God, no sissy he! He puts the wussy Democratic God right in her place. Maybe giving her a good ravishing to boot! Why bother voting anyway, if God is doing the blessing and deciding the vote? Mqurice
