Energyplay, I am saying that when you have the south moving farther and farther to the right to the extent that southern Democrats now begin to vote, talk and act like Bush/Cheney, on fiscal, social and foreign policy issues, what do you gain by moving the entire party to the right? Many Democrats are fiscal conservatives but if you look at the southern vote, many democrats there are also social conservatives and advocates of using brute force to "solve" the terrorism issue. The Democrats cannot move to that position without losing the two party system.

Did you see the debate between the two senatorial candidates in Oklahoma? I found myself rooting for the Republican and in view of the way things are going in this country, I was surprised at myself. Ed

Ep,

I believe the answer is found, in text:

"southern whites . . . dumb . . . backwards and ignorant"

So much for diversity, inclusiveness, tolerance. LOL.
