We could be Canada's mistress, then. I thought about the Pak model. Doesn't work too well, unless it is 2 entirely separate nations, eg Ecotopia and Red Sox Nation. It would better with Canada, if they'll have us. Keeps most of the professional sports leagues intact, too.East Coast might want any easy link with Asia, which would be locked up by Ecotopia. We'd want a link to Europe, too, without going to the Panama Canal. The Red Welfare United States probably won't have the largest economy in the world anymore.
