One thing I should point out is that when Hasidim vote, they vote almost exclusively Republican; when Modern Orthodox vote, they skew about 70% Republican; and Conservative Jews vote about 50% Republican. It is just that most Jews are either Reform or secular, and vote over 80% Democratic.

No, I think that's a dim memory by now. It's the social justice issues, with large support for government programs to help the poor and the middle class, that keeps the Jews in the D column, I think.
