I liked Betty Ford. Thought she had more balls then her hubby.
Jackie was class, but coming after Mamie, well.... Jackie's tour of the White House was an amazing TV show. And boy did she set the fashion industry on its heels trying to emulate her. pillbox hats, anyone. She was the closest to a Queen that i think we will ever have.
Lady Bird was a class act, but i remember the comment that her "Beautify America" campaign (move billboards off the highways) might best be accomplished if she and her daughters pictures did not appear on them. ouch.
Pat Nixon- well, all i can say is that it couldn't happen to a better fella
Roseanne Carter was a classy southern lady. I liked her.
Mrs Reagan had a lot of class too, what a great team she and Ronnie made. I suspect she was more than just the little lady.
And Hillary, after Slick fessed up to Monica, SHE slept in the presidential bed while Slick slept in the guest room. Guess the dog house was too crowded.well, the rest of the story remains to be written.
Laura Bush - she is class too, smiles, waves, hair is always perfect. if stepford wives had a first lady, she'd be it.
Theresa, hey Ed, "spread her legs" is a bit coarse. I don't think she helped Kerry at all, did not fit the image of the "proper" first lady.
As for relatives not voting for Kerry because he's Catholic, now thats enlightenment. I thought i heard that the Church said anyone who voted for KErry should be excommunicated because of his stand on abortion. Church, welcome to the 15th century. Too bad pillory and burning at the stake for witchcraft aren't in vogue anymore. sigh
