Amy,

re: On an average day some 20,000 people in the United States log onto the Web site, www.cic.gc.ca -- a figure which rocketed to 115,016 on Wednesday. The number of U.S. visits settled down to 65,803 on Thursday, still well above the norm.

I suspect the current animosity between pro-Bush and anti-Bush (I don't see it as Cons/Lib) is not going to go away... I think it will fester and grow, worse and worse. But my crystal ball is clouded, I just do not have any idea how this is going to play out.

John

Re: "Americans Flock to Canada's Immigration Web Site"

Rumor has it that Canada will soon erect a Statue of Liberty of her own --with the following engraving:

"Keep Jesus freaks, your racist pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your gay,
Your liberal states yearning to break free,
The wretched refuse of your benighted South.

Send these, the hopeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the exit door!"
