The Swift Boat vets have dogged Kerry for a long time, you are right. However, the level of publicity they got this time and the amount of money spent on their media ads lead directly to Karl Rove. We don't really need to vote in French elections because the French don't have 8% of the earth's population but spew 25% of the pollution like America does. And they are not jeopardizing the peace of the entire planet with military flights of fancy, either.
