Do you understand that SS was never designed, never INTENDED, to provide a "pension"? That its actuarial concept was supplemental in nature? Do you think that SS is supposed to "take care" of every retiree?

$3.6K is better than what you had before. You complain about the cost of the program, and at the same time demand more coverage.

Drug manufacturers must receive a certain return on investment or drugs or the new drugs won't be developed. Period. End of story. It doesn't matter if the goverment "goes out for bid" on these drugs. All that does is shift costs to those who are not covered by the program.
