So how do you explain the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, ... You clearly missed my earlier post where I said that those events took place centuries ago, whereas the Islam of today is a throwback to the 5th century. Western civilization has evolved since the dark ages, but clearly Islam has not. This is not a threat to Americans. It is when you realize that there are Islamic institutions and clerics in America preaching their hate and intolerance of our way of life and agitating for implementation of their way of life here in America. This is war. This is a clash of civilizations. You have to wake up and see it for what it is. there are situations where Islamic religious teachings tells Muslims to fight It seems that those situations involve any time they come into contact with infidels. So would you side with the Muslims who killed Van Goh in Amsterdam? That was one of those situations that the Qu'ran tells it's faithful to murder infidels for. The problem is the ME, not the Islamic religion. I used to think that too, but the reality is that we of Muslims' inability to live with Westerners more and more everyday. Read up on Van Goh in Amsterdam. Why is it that if Muslims are so peaceful, they haven't risen up to denounce the terrorism perpetrated by their brothers throughout the entire world? Why is it that in Beslan, Russia, the Muslims didn't decry the wholesale slaughter of innocent children? It's because they are believers in these methods, because the Quran tells them to fight the infidel wherever they find them. That's why. Finally, I would be sure you are highly knowledgeable about Islam before spouting off your diatribe. I have read most of the Quran and parts of the Hadiths, and have read every article I can get my hands on about the history of Islam and of Israel in the Middle East. Have you? I too was ignorant of the true extent of Islam's corruption until after 9/11, but then I started to read up on it. The more I read, the more appalled I am. Again, I say wake up. Islam is a scourge on civilization and should be given no special treatment just because it is called a religion. It should be treated more as a corrupt philosophy, such as Soviet Communism or Hitler's Mein Kampf. I have nothing against people, but I have a lot against Islam. It is a cancer on humanity.
