Re: The ballot design was idiotic, and it was done by one of their own operatives, so they can't blame anyone else. It will go down in history as one of the biggest gaffes and turning points in American history. It literally changed the outcome of the Presidential election, That's quite a naive view of how the Florida election was stolen in 2000. There were a plethora of subterfuges employed by the devious and criminal Republicans that year. Greg Palast did a great expose of the fraud involved in ChoicePoint being hired at an outrageous fee to do a "felon scrub" of the voter's rolls that eliminated well over 50,000 Democratic voters. There were 1,000 separate complaints filed about voter intimidation, voter suppression and other malfeasance which the State of Florida eventually stipulated to, i.e. the State said it was guilty of the fraud. The "hanging chad" and butterfly ballot designs were merely two components of a multidimensional fraud perpetrated (primarily) by greedy Republicans to frustrate the will of the People.
