The radical Dutch Indonesian people are from Ambon, a beautiful island like Hawaii. Even the songs are similar to the sound of the waves, happy tunes type folk music. 90% of the population were either Christians or Catholic who lived in harmony. Every weekend, the young guys and dolls went to the beach having parties, singing, dancing, play the ukulele, just happy bunch of group. The weather is always nice, the beaches are pristine, just a picture of paradise. Then Suharto came into power and applied the tactics by the Colonial Dutch: divide et empera. He sent fanatics Moslem people from Java to migrate to Ambon. (Java is overpopulated). Now the Moslems comprise about 50% of the population. Their radical actions were burning Christian churches. The authority stood still against the brutal actions. Sad indeed, a paradise was tranformed into a religious battleground.
