Yes, it would be nice if all religions did an overhaul. I'd recommend they pay attention to Budhism for starters. Now there is a religion of peace.

Mindmeld, Also, I'd trash the Old Testament. It's hopelessly outdated. The teachings of Jesus are more peaceful and still apply today.

Be careful of that. Jesus said during the Sermon on the Mount: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

In other words, Jesus puts the Old Testament in the proper context, one that places us in a position where redemption, not works, is the only way to heaven. Unfortunately, most of us forget that all too easily. Myself included.
