I'm showing my age. All that bible study and church in my formative years has been tucked away in the back of my mind and is now so hard to remember. Thx for the reminder, though.

Mainly, my point was that there is an awful lot of violence and wrathful God stuff in the Old Testament. This is where Islamic apologists justify their own violent Quran, by saying that the Bible isn't any better. So Christian apologists usually use the argument that the New Testament focuses on a loving God, accessible through Jesus.

You are right, though.
