You think this was understated?

"For a while it looked like we were involved in a social revolution where communal living might become as mainstream as core families."

Ok. Anyway I am not exactly concise in making my points. The point I was trying to make by that treatise on the last left wing social movement revolution, is that:

There was a center that drew people in. The movement had a conscience even if you disagreed with it. The current ravings of the left have no center to draw you in. It is simply lashing out at the conservative right who is rapidly rebuilding a conscervative establishment.

There are too many contradictics, that keep people from sticking. For example: Left wing philosophy is counter to anything conservative or fundamentally set in religious doctrinal requirements. However, the left wing is currently behind the fascist racist fundamentalists who are behind the insurgencies in the Middle East. Why? Because they agree with the world view they are trying to force on the rest of the world? NO. Simply because it is another way to lash out at Republicans. There is no way that reasoning people can get drawn into this. It repells people, especially young people who are currently forming their political views. All by it self 'Anti-Bush' rhetoric does not give anyone a foundation. The majority of left wingers (here at least) don't see how repellant their rhetoric is to people seeking to form a sound political view of things.

sheesh, concise didn't happen again.
