Is Hogate's still in business in DC?

I got to go the Watergate Inn a couple of times, before they tore it down for those lousy office buildings.

I also remember a way-cool European restaurant in the District, with wine bottles hanging from the rafters. I was pretty young, so I don't remember the menu. But since our German friends discovered it I suspect it was pretty authentic.

Cobe, these are wonderful- thanks! I am up for some quiet days at home cooking once the Christmas concerts are over.
In fact, I have already marked "maple pumpkin pots au creme" to try for a dessert.
We get back the day before THanksgiving so my mother in law is doing the meal at her house this year, but I will want to offer something.
Regardless, one of my favorite things is just reading recipes, even if I never make them. New sites always appreciated.
