Walter Duranty didn't just support Communism from a distance without really knowing its horrors. He knew the horrors, lied about them, said they didn't happen, and got a Pulitzer Prize.

Oh pish! When did Jane Fonda speak for anyone. She's an actress, not a liberal icon.

She is and was a liberal Democrat. She fits perfectly with my statements esp considering the fact that I also posted "Only a small minority was actually pro-communist".

I think your argument is specious. I think its another attempt by the right of trying to make liberals wrong.

Not all liberals or Democrats. Many where strongly anti-communist, and very few with totally pro-communist. But the few who were pro-communist don't get the type of opposition from others on the left that any pro-Nazi would get from the right in the US.
