I didnt have the balls to use the language you did above for fear of being accused as a hopeless realpolitik guy. Now are you pulling my leg or historically speaking does sunni iraq as part of syria actually work? Where does bagdad end up? Hope it doesnt become another jerusalem separated along religious lines. mike

That's where I was going with my last comment.

The people of the region need to figure out how to live with one another. Frankly I think they would enjoy being able to do so on their own - including sorting out land and water and port access disputes - the whole ball of wax, if only to "prove" that they can and thumb their noses at the neoconservative radicals LOL.
