Dollar will not collapse if the BOJ has anything to say about it. Yen plunged over 1% today on speculation about renewed BOJ selling.

A senior Japanese official was quoted as saying the BOJ would intervene if the value of the yen veered too far from "fundamentals."

So much for the idea of a free market. God like bureaucrats know what values "should" be and will intervene to force appropriate market adjustments. And this applies just as much to the Fed as the BOJ IMHO.

What makes you think they do not want a weaker $?

They do not want a panic lower $ but they do want a weaker one IMO.

Bear in mind that Japan and Europe do not. Have you heard all the bitching from the EU lately?

Please tell me who wants a strong currency.
Not China either.
