Unfortunately I doubt they will get to make any sequels. It did a little over $100m in the US box office, but cost a fortune to make. The author of the series took great pains to be historically accurate, every battle is depicted just as it happened in real life (though of course the characters are invented). And life aboard the ships was realistically depicted, they really did have 11 year olds serving as midshipmen. I don't have cable, just rabbit ears and a subscription to Netflix. Their five-movies-at-a-time deal for $30 is pretty good, I always have a new movie to watch. Tonight it is "King Creole" starring Elvis.
