In a country with freedom of expression, you've gotta let the opposition express themselves

I've not suggested there is anything that can or should be done about it.

But one really has to question the judgment of anyone, even a near-teenager, who would be so stupid.

Kerry's meeting with the VC in Pairs in 1970 was an expression of that opposition, as were all the demonstrations, Hanoi Jane's meetings, etc.

It is a thin line between this "protest" and "providing aid and comfort to the enemy".

That sounds like news, not treason, even if this theoretical Arab speaking American met with theFallujah resistance without the approval of the US or Iraqi government.

I would think this would be considered on a "facts and circumstances" basis. I think Sean Penn's visit to Iraq was pretty harmless. But I think Baghdad Jim's visit was tantamount to treason, because he provided aid and comfort to the enemy. I would support seeing him prosecuted for his actions, and to a lesser extent, Bonior and the other nitwit that accompanied them (can't remember who it was).
