>>> First of all, I'm appalled that Bush would have the gall to put such a degenerate super-hawk as Condi Rice in the State Department. She will trash the place, just as Porter Goss is doing vast damage at the CIA today. What we are witnessing is a Stalinist purge of the ministries. The greatest "sin" according to this ugly tryannical mindset is disloyalty. You can lie, cheat, steal and destroy the social fabric of the United States, but you dare not tell the truth about George Bush in this Orwellian world. <<<

And let us not forget it was Rice who said something like: "There was nothing we could have done to prevent 911"
Unbelievable incompetence unjustly rewarded IMHO.

Interesting take Ray, as usual.

I do like this quote from you:

"First of all, I'm appalled that Bush would have the gall to put such a degenerate super-hawk as Condi Rice in the State Department. "

Yes, getting rid of all moderates now with the departure of Powell, although he didn't stand up very hard against Iraq, or do the really honorable thing, and resign on priciple in opposition to the war, did he? Maybe he thought it best to lean against the wind while he was there...

Yes - saw what is happening with CIA, apparently they lost the head of the "Bin Laden unit". Sounds like Bush is intent on making the 2nd term even more of a mess for everyone.

later,

matt
